It’s not summer classes, but a short course in Bartending…
I never imagined that I would play around with the very liquids that I’ve successfully avoided to consume for 20 years. This actually came as a surprise when my mother accidentally read a brochure from Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. I though she’d suggest to have my culinary arts there, but of course I’d resist. It’s not that I have a problem with the culinary arts program of MIHCA; it’s just that I have another school in mind if ever I do go to culinary school. But instead, she told me to take up bartending, and that she’d pay for the whole thing.
This was just my first week, and already we made some cocktails like sea breeze, blowjob, frozen margarita, sex on the beach, long beach iced tea, tequila sunrise, brown cow, and a lot more mocktails. Also, I was voted class president for some reason… Yeah. Anyway, week two is on the way with more alcohol than I could ever hope to consume. And I like out instructor, he’s a sommelier that worked for a life time in bars on board a bus load of luxury cruise ship companies like Costa [remember Costa Concordia? Haha.] and Disney to name a few.
Nagyaya na ng inuman yung mga kaklase ko kanina eh, pero hindi ako yung type na inuman tayo sa bahay ni ganito. One thing ang kailangan kong inumin yung mga cocktails na ginagawa namin kasi kailngang alam ko yung lasa, pero iba na yung iinom ako ng alcohol dahil katuwaan lang. I’m not yet that person. -__-
